I've been captivated by film lately. Here are some photos from visit to Las Vegas in February. I had such a great time and was so intrigued by the beautiful and interesting details in my new surroundings. My plan is to shoot more film than I have since my pre-digital days in my visit to Boston. My level of excitement right now for my trip to Boston cannot be described. Just thinking about all the details and elements of seeing a new city and getting to capture it with me camera...GASP! I cannot wait! Not to mention that little detail that, oh yeah, I am RUNNING THE BOSTON MARATHON (did I forget to mention that? Well, it's only been the ONLY thing on my mind for the last countless weeks and I'm now counting down the days -as I write this it's 18 days away. More posts on that little event soon!) Of course I will be shooting massive amounts of photos with my baby (Canon 5DmkII) but I just love the colors, highlights and tones in these film scans. All images were shot with my trusty Canon AE-1 that my Mom got for me from a garage sale. She was actually buying me an old-style camera to add to my amazing collection (thanks Mom) and the guy threw in the AE-1 as an extra. It's an amazing camera, works perfectly and I LOVE it. I am amazed that someone would just give it away! I'm not sure exactly where I was going with this post except to talk about how much I love film and that I'm going to be shooting tons while in Boston. I'm even debating taking the Holga, which hasn't been on a trip since our honeymoon in Maui, almost two years ago (where has the time gone?)

Dinner the other night. Tilapia, risotto and asparagus. It looked so pretty I had to take a few photos before I ate. It was as delicious as it looked. I love making risotto a day or so before a weekend long run because risotto leftovers make a delicious post-run snack, with an egg and some salsa.
